ENDORSED ORDER. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Petitioner filed through counsel a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 (Doc. 1) and an Emergency Motion for Temporary Restraining Order (Doc. 2). In the Motion, Petitioner asks for an order enjoining Respondents from transferring her outside of the Middle District of Florida, and if she has been transferred, directing her return. Doc. 2 at 12. This case was assigned to the undersigned on Monday, October 26, 2026. The website for the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement reflects that Petitioner is now being housed in New Mexico. While the Motion requests an ordering directing Petitioner's return to this District, it does not address the Court's authority to do so. As such, the Motion (Doc. 2) is DENIED without prejudice. If appropriate, Petitioner may file a motion seeking her return to this District and addressing the Court's authority to do so. The Court will enter a separate order directing service of the Petition (Doc. 1). Signed by Judge Marcia Morales Howard on 10/26/2026. (JLD) (Entered: 10/26/2026)
