Order to Show Cause. The Court has examined the petition and, on its face, cannot say whether Petitioner is entitled to at least some of the relief requested. Accordingly, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2243, Respondents are ordered to show cause in writing, by October 22, 2026, why the petition for writ of habeas corpus (Doc. No. 1 ) should not be granted. Respondents are also directed to provide Petitioner with access to any prescribed contact lenses or glasses, and indicate in their response what efforts have been made to comply with the Court's directive. Petitioner will have until October 27, 2026, to respond in support of the petition. In the event that Respondents file a motion to dismiss along with their return of writ, Petitioner will have until October 27, 2026, to file a response to the motion, and Respondents will have until October 30, 2026 to file a reply.
