TEXT ORDER: This matter comes before the Court upon Respondents' correspondence dated September 14, 2026. (ECF No. 4 .) Respondents report that Petitioner was transferred from the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in New Jersey to River Correctional Facility in Louisiana on September 11, 2026. (Id.) The Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus was filed on September 10, 2026. (ECF No. 1 .) The Court subsequently entered a Text Order on September 11, 2026, enjoining Respondents from transferring Petitioner from New Jersey pending further Order of the Court. (ECF No. 2.) In light of Respondents' representation that Petitioner was transferred to Louisiana on September 11, 2026, the Court requires clarification regarding the timing of the transfer in relation to the filing and pendency of the Petition. Accordingly, within three (3) days of the entry of this Text Order, Respondents shall e-file supplemental correspondence providing: (1) the date and time Respondents first received notice of the Petition; and (2) the date and time Petitioner was transferred from the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in New Jersey to River Correctional Facility in Louisiana. Respondents shall also address whether Petitioner may be returned to New Jersey pending further Order of the Court. The Court defers consideration of Respondents' request to dismiss or administratively terminate this action based upon their asserted lack of next-friend standing pending resolution of the foregoing matter.
