TEXT ORDER: This matter comes before the Court upon Pro Se Petitioner Ramon Chach Moreno's petition for writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 alleging his detention by immigration authorities in Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark, New Jersey is unlawful (ECF No. 1, Petition), and Respondents' answer (ECF No. 4, Answer) asserting Petitioner was transferred to Alexandria Staging Facility in Alexandria, Louisiana before the Petition and the Court's no transfer order (ECF No. 2) were filed. TEXT ORDER: This matter comes before the Court on Petitioner Ramon Chach Moreno's petition for a writ of habeas corpus (ECF No. 1, "Petition") in which he seeks immediate release from immigration custody. Petitioner is currently detained at the Alexandria Staging Facility in Louisiana after being transferred from New Jersey. Petitioner asserts that the Petition was filed prior to his transfer, while Respondents state that Petitioner was transferred out of New Jersey hours before this Court issued an order enjoining his transfer (ECF No. 2). The Court cannot resolve the issues on the current record. Accordingly, it is ORDERED that, by no later than noon on September 15, 2026, Respondents shall file evidence that supports the timeline they provided in their letter (ECF No. 4) on August 31, 2026, including certifications from the ICE officials who escorted Petitioner from New Jersey to Louisiana on August 31, 2026.
