Text Only Entry by U.S. Magistrate Judge A. Joel Richlin: The Court is in receipt of Petitioner's Ex Parte Application which appears to seek an expedited briefing schedule as well as an order directing Respondents to lodge the audio recording of Petitioner's July 31, 2026 bond hearing. (Dkt. 3.) Petitioner is advised that this action is already subject to an expedited briefing schedule under General Order 26-05. (Dkt. 6.) Therefore, Respondents' Answer is due by August 17, 2026 and Petitioner's Reply is due by August 20, 2026. (Id.) To the extent Petitioner seeks the audio recording of Petitioner's bond hearing, Petitioner can request this from Respondents in discovery. The Court expects the parties to work cooperatively with regard to discovery consistent with the Ninth Circuit's guidance in Campbell v. Blodgett, 982 F.2d 1356, 1358 (9th Cir. 1993), and Tillery v. Shartle, 778 F. Appx 426, 428 (9th Cir. 2019). Specifically, the Ninth Circuit applies Rule 6(a) of the Rules Governing Section 2254 Cases.
