(In Chambers) Order by Judge Stanley Blumenfeld, Jr.: Petitioner filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Dkt. No. 1. If the government does not oppose the relief sought in the petition, it shall promptly notify the Court. Otherwise, the government shall file a response by August 11, 2026, and Petitioner shall file any reply no later than August 25, 2026. In its response, the government shall address the statutory basis for detention, including whether Petitioner is entitled to an initial bond hearing pursuant to Rodriguez Vazquez v. Bostock, No. 25-6842, 2026 WL 2196424 (9th Cir. 2026), whether Petitioner is subject to a final order of removal, and shall attach relevant documents concerning Petitioner's detention. Failure to substantively address the arguments in the petition may be construed as consent to granting the requested relief.
