TEXT ORDER: Petitioner Carlos Alejandro Fernandez-Morocho is a citizen of Ecuador who alleges his detention by Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE") beginning in March 2026 is unlawful. (ECF No. 1, Petition at 1-4.) Due to his detention, Petitioner was unable to attend the hearing where an Immigration Judge issued his final removal order in absentia on July 16, 2026. (Petition at 3.) Petitioner contends the subsequent entry of the in absentia removal order does not moot his challenge to Respondents' statutory detention authority or his constitutional challenge to his continued detention. (Id.)
