ORDER DISMISSING CASE-- The Court previously ordered that Petitioner be given a bond hearing, see Pineda Parra v. Thompson, et al., No. 5:26-CV-02218-OLG, Dkt. No. 8 (W.D. Tex. May 8, 2026), and on May 13, 2026, Petitioner received one. (Dkt. No. 9). The immigration judge denied bond based on the finding that Petitioner is a flight risk. (Dkt. No. 9, Ex. A). Petitioner filed the instant case on July 8, 2026, and construing his Petition liberally, the Court finds he is alleging his detention violates due process.' (Dkt. No. 1); see Erickson v. Pardus, 551 U.S. 89, 94 (2007) (holding pleadings by pro se litigants must be construed liberally); Andrade v, Gonzales, 459 F.3d 538, 543 (5th Cir. 2006) (same). He seeks immediate release from custody. (Dkt. No. 1). Under the INA, the Court lacks jurisdiction to review an immigration judge's denial of bond following the custody redetermination hearing to which those detained under 8 U.S.C.§ 1226(a) are entitled. Signed by Judge Orlando L. Garcia. (bt) (Entered: 07/24/2026)
