Petitioner Eduardo Alexander Garcia-Landaverde is a citizen of El Salvador residing in Providence, Rhode Island. He was arrested on his way to work on July 9, 2026, by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and has been detained at the Plymouth County House of Correction since that time.The court agrees with Petitioner that he is entitled to a bond hearing. The government must arrange a bond hearing for Eduardo Alexander Garcia-Landaverde before an Immigration Judge (consistent with the standards outlined in Hernandez-Lara v. Lyons, 10 F.4th 19 (1st Cir. 2021)), as soon as practicable, but in no case later than Tuesday August 4, 2026.
