MINUTE ORDER signed by District Judge Edward J Davila on 7/23/2026: Before the Court is Petitioner's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (Dkt. No. 1 ) and motion for emergency relief (Dkt. No. 2 ). On 7/23/2026 Respondents informed the Court that Petitioner currently has a petition for writ of habeas corpus pending in 26-cv-00894-KES-EPG, and requested that the Court dismiss this action as duplicative. Dkt. No. 9 . Examination of 1:26-cv-00894-KES-EPG and this matter reveals that the petitions in both cases are near duplicates, filed by the same petitioner and raising similar claims. Therefore, the Court dismisses the later-filed Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus in this action without prejudice. The Clerk of the Court is directed to close this case.
