(In Chambers) Order by Judge Stanley Blumenfeld, Jr.: Petitioner, a Vietnamese citizen, filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus asserting that his removal to Vietnam was not reasonably foreseeable. According to the electronic receipt, the petition was docketed at 10:50 a.m. on July 16, 2026. In response to the petition, the government represents that: (1) Petitioner was transferred to Louisiana a few hours earlier, at 7:00 a.m. on July 16, for purposes of executing his removal to Vietnam; (2) Vietnam issued travel documents for Petitioner on July 2, 2026; and (3) Petitioner is scheduled for a removal flight to Vietnam the week of July 27. (In Chambers) Order by Judge Stanley Blumenfeld, Jr.: Petitioner filed a writ of habeas corpus challenging his ongoing detention. After the government notified this Court that Petitioner was transferred to Louisiana in preparation for his removal to Vietnam, the Court ordered the government to file a report addressing the status of Petitioner's removal. Dkt. No. 9. In its response, the government confirms that Petitioner has been removed from the United States. Dkt. No. 10.
