This matter is before the Court on petitioner Singh Gill Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241 and Motion for Temporary Restraining Order. Docket Nos. 1, 2 . Petitioner shall, by overnight mail and email, serve respondents with a copy of the petition, motion for temporary restraining order, and this order on or before July 20, 2026. Petitioner shall file proof of service. Within seven days of service, respondents shall show cause why the petition for writ of habeas corpus should not be granted. See 28 U.S.C. § 2243 ("The writ, or order to show cause shall be directed to the person having custody of the person detained. It shall be returned within three days unless for good cause additional time, not exceeding twenty days, is allowed.").
