TEXT ORDER: This matter comes before the Court upon review of its docket. This Court enjoined Respondents from transferring Petitioner from New Jersey on July 14, 2026, at 4:56 p.m. (ECF No. 2 .) However, at 11:20 a.m. EST on July 14, 2026, before the Court's Order, Petitioner was booked out of the Elizabeth Contract Detention Facility. (ECF No. 6 .) Petitioner was booked into the Alexandria Staging Facility in Louisiana at 5:45 p.m. EST that same day. (Id.) Respondents have indicated that they are "prepared to return Petitioner to New Jersey should the Court so order." (Id.) The Court orders that Respondents return Petitioner to New Jersey within 48 hours of this Text Order and provide confirmation of that return. Upon Petitioner's return, Respondents shall be enjoined from transferring Petitioner from New Jersey pending further Order of the Court. So Ordered by Judge Georgette Castner on 7/16/2026.
