ORDER re 1 Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus, filed by Blanca Gloria Ventura Caballeo. On July 10, 2026, Petitioner filed a Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. ECF No. 1. Respondents do not oppose an order from this Court directing a bond hearing be held pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1226(a). ECF No. 4 at 2. Accordingly, the Court GRANTS in part the petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The government shall hold a bond hearing within fourteen days of this order, unless the noncitizen requests a continuance, at which the government bears the burden of establishing by clear and convincing evidence that the noncitizen poses a danger or flight risk. The government cannot deny bond based upon 8 U.S.C. § 1225(b). The government shall make a complete record of the bond hearing available to the noncitizen and her counsel at counsels request. The government is enjoined from transferring Petitioner before a bond hearing takes place. The petition is otherwise DENIED. The Clerk of Court shall close the case.
