(IN CHAMBERS) ORDER by Judge Kenly Kiya Kato: On July 9, 2026, the Court granted Petitioner's Motion for a Preliminay Injunction and ordered Respondents to refer Petitioner to an asylum officer for a reasonable fear determination, pursuant to 8 C.F.R. § 241.8(e), by no later than July 13. (Dkt. 10 at 7). On July 12, 2026, Respondents disclosed to the Court that Petitioner was under quarantine and "estimated to be cleared by July 18, 2026." (Dkt. 11 at 3). Thus, on July 13, 2026, the Court ordered Respondents to "file a Status Report confirming a date for Petitioner reasonable fear interview by no later than July 17, 2026 at 5:00 p.m" ("July 13, 2026 Order"). (Dkt. 12 ). Subsequently, on July 17, 2026, Respondents filed a Status Report stating "Petitioner is scheduled to clear quarantine for measles on July 19, 2026" and suggesting Petitioner could be moved for the reasonable fear interview while quarantined. (Dkt. 16 at 3). Respondents have yet to confirm a date for Petitioner's reasonable fear interview. See id. Accordingly, Respondents are hereby ORDERED to file a Status Report no later than July 22, 2026, and every two days thereafter until they have confirmed a reasonable fear interview has been completed. The Status Report shall confirm the date of Petitioner's reasonable fear interview or describe Respondents' efforts to comply with the Court's July 13, 2026 Order. Respondents are expressly warned that failure to comply with this Court's orders will result in sanctions. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(b). IT IS SO ORDERED.
