EO: After assignment of this proceeding to the undersigned on July 9, 2026, Dkt. No. 12, pending is Petitioner Jiayi Liu's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. Section 2241. Dkt. No. 1 . Review of the docket reflects that counsel has appeared on behalf of Respondent Shikha Dosanj in her official capacity as the Warden of the Federal Detention Center in Honolulu, Hawaii (Respondent). Dkt. No. 6 . As a result, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. Section 2243, on or before July 15, 2026, i.e., three business days, Respondent is ORDERED TO SHOW CAUSE why a writ of habeas corpus should not be granted in favor of Petitioner. Petitioner shall have until July 20, 2026 to file a reply. Thereafter, the Court will determine whether and/or when to hold a hearing.
