MINUTES OF Status Conference held before Magistrate Judge Angela C. C. Viramontes: Case called. Petitioner was not present but standing in for Petitioner for purposes of today's hearing was Deputy Federal Public Defender Jonathan Aminoff ("Mr. Aminoff"), and Assistant United States Attorney Sheng-Wen Desmond Jui appeared on behalf of Respondent. As discussed on the record, no final order of removal has been attached to any filings or otherwise provided, and the Court seeks clarification regarding its status. If the Government contends that Petitioner failed to voluntarily depart pursuant to a prior order and that this failure triggered an order of removal, the Government must produce a copy of any such underlying orders. Additionally, Mr. Aminoff, will contact Petitioner to clarify what claims remain active and subsequently may file a status report regarding that communication. The Government confirmed that counsel spoke with the Adelanto Detention Facility, where Petitioner is housed, and verified that the facility is aware of the Court's stay order.Time: 5 mins. CRD: D.
