MINUTE ORDER (Text Only): The Court has reviewed the petition for writ of habeas corpus (Doc. 1 ), Respondent's response (Doc. 5 ), and Petitioner's traverse (Doc. 6 ). In the traverse, Petitioner states that he filed an appeal from the order denying his motion to reopen the in absentia removal order (Doc. 6 at 3). However, the Court's review of the EOIR Automated Case Information System on August 3, 2026 indicates that no such appeal has been filed.Within seven (7) days of this Order, Petitioner shall file a notice informing the Court of (1) the status of any appeal, (2) whether the removal order is final, and (3) the current statutory basis for his detention.
