ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE AND SETTING BRIEFING SCHEDULE. The respondents are ordered to file an answer that shows cause why the petitioner's writ should not be granted by no later than June 1, 2026. The petitioner may file a reply to the respondents' answer by no later than June 15, 2026. In addition, the respondents are ordered to file, by no later than 5:00 p.m. CT on May 13, 2026, a notice addressing whether the government will commit not to remove the petitioner pending the Court's resolution of the petitioner's habeas petition (Dkt. ORDER. Barreto Gonzalez's arguments in the petition are the same as the arguments raised in the cases above. The Court previously found these arguments unavailing. The Court has considered them anew in this petition and concludes that habeas relief is unwarranted. Because Barreto Gonzalez is not entitled to relief, the Court denies the petition. Dkt. No. 1 . Barreto Gonzalez's Notice of Voluntary Dismissal pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a)(1) (Dkt. No. 12 ) is denied as moot.
