ELECTRONIC ORDER: Before the Court is petitioner Noor Nafea Salman's petition for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2241. Petitioner challenges her detention under the Laken Riley Act. A review of Petitioner's immigration proceedings on the Executive Office for Immigration Review website indicates that her removal proceedings may have concluded. To ensure that the Court retains subject matter jurisdiction to adjudicate Petitioner's petition, the Government shall file a status update by November 3, 2026, indicating whether Petitioner remains detained under the Laken Riley Act or whether she is now detained under another provision or has been removed from the country. (Ordered by Magistrate Judge Rebecca Rutherford on 10/27/2026) (chmb) (Entered: 10/27/2026)
