(IN CHAMBERS) Order by Magistrate Judge Rozella A. Oliver, Re: Briefing on the Merits of the Petition. On February 27, 2026, the Court granted Petitioner's Application for a Temporary Restraining Order and ordered Petitioner's release, and on March 3, 2026, it granted a Preliminary Injunction. [9, 11] At the Court's direction, the parties filed a joint status report on March 18, 2026. 13 The status report indicates that the parties disagree whether the interim relief granted by the Court moots the petition, and they propose that the Court set a briefing schedule on the merits. Accordingly, the Court sets the following briefing schedule: Respondents' Return to the Petition shall be filed by November 2, 2026; Petitioner's Reply shall be filed by November 9, 2026. If the parties are able to reach a disposition in the interim, they may submit a proposed stipulated order and judgment to the Court by November 2, 2026.
